President Obama has announced on Aug. 3, 2009, $2.4 billion in new grants to companies and universities that develop electric vehicles. The money will come from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the $787 billion stimulus package.
Obama desires to create jobs here in America by building alternative vehicals and not depending on buy hybreds, electric cars or electric scooters overseas.
