Some of the older generations driving is pretty bad and this has sparked claims that they should be banned from driving altogether. I do not think that this is a bad idea providing that they are tested before hand because it is pretty harsh for someone to just take a license from an old person when they could be more than capable of driving.
Could this be where banning elderly from motorway driving occur, they could still drive, just not on the most dangerous rifes. Although I still think a test would have to be made to do this as there are still so many old people out there that can drive on a motorway perfectly well. Stopping them from doing this could in fact stop them from driving over to see one of their family members or getting to the airport or anything along these lines. There is no way that is even fair.
Older generations do actually cause a lot of accidents on the road but this doesnt mean it is all their fault, could stopping them from driving help these figures that much. To be fair there is a point that the drivers have, it isnt safe for old people to be driving slow on a motorway, not safe at all. This doesnt seem to be fair to both parties, one because the older people are being abused for it and the other because the older people are in the way.
Another issue is that with banning old people from driving you are going to see a lot less bad credit car leasing and this isn’t a great thing because it will shut down a lot of businesses. This will increase the safety ofthe roads.
Cheap lease cars and general Audi Leasing is most likely the best option to take for an elderly person, do you think it is best for them not to drive, I think we should give them a chance.
