Owning a car can always be very useful so go buy a car. You can use the car for your travel or when you go shopping or when you go visit someone. The cheap cars to run these days are definitely the eco friendly cars. Looking at the long term these cars will be cheaper than the public transports. Some own a car for domestic use; some own it for their work.
The car is vital for people who work shift hours for example, police, security guards, factory workers etc. Some security guards work in the hospitals or banks over night. Let’s say they finish work at 4 am in the morning without the car it will be hard for them to return home and they also will be paying extra for taxis? Hence it is essential to have one car in a household. People living in London might argue with my point here as public transport is brilliant there. That’s great catch the public transport, I can’t argue with that but I would like to point out what happens when you go visit someone who lives in Worthing, there is no straight public transport there and if there is then you have to reach on time. With the car you can relax and take your time. You have to catch a train to Victoria then another Train to Worthing and public transport in Worthing is terrible. That is when you start thinking wish I had a car.
I purchased a new Volvo few months ago and I have to say that my life has become easier than what it used to be. I can easily drive anywhere I want. I won’t have to worry about the times of public transport. I can go late night shopping to Tesco 
). When I ask a girl out I can happily say I will pick you up rather than meet me at a certain bus stop. I want to sell my Volvo and get a new Audi r8 because that is a modern car.
